Sahara Sam’s is now Big Kahuna’s! Boomers Parks, national operators of Family Entertainment Centers, acquired a popular water park, Sahara Sam’s, located in West Berlin, NJ. Post acquisition activities involved improvements to attractions, upgraded park maintenance and enhanced amenities such as more diverse food and beverage options, live entertainment and enhanced admission packages. All investments were intended to elevate the brand, and the guest experience.
With guidance from Segel Associates, Big Kahuna’s navigated the Grand Rebrand in advance of opening the water park to the public. A private ribbon cutting event was staged for members of the media. The Boomers Parks CEO, company officials and local dignitaries were on hand to review the many changes to the park, discuss the impact on the local economy, facilitate tours and enjoy selections from the new Caribbean-inspired menu.
Turnout was phenomenal and resulted in favorable media coverage across multiple mediums. Big Kahuna’s West Berlin, NJ has become a key destination for South Jersey’s Family Entertainment sector, drawing from New York, Delaware, and as far as Baltimore, Maryland.
